After having the tutorials with Jacqueline from our test shots taken as a group she mentioned that Charlotte's colour scheme of her bedroom is very appealing to the eye so that is now going to be the location of the shoot. We plan the photo shoot for the 28th February and 1st March .
guy is known for his close in crops which we particulary liked as a group as it gives more impact to the picture and is an element we want in our photos .
Steven Meisel tells a story in his work and his work is a bit more controversial as you can see. He uses dimmer lights with a greeish tinge.there very ordinary photos but with a twist i feel so i would like to incorporate some element of Meisel in some way
Here is some background information to triumph underwear from their website :
Triumph International established a home for the UK and Ireland in 1964. We now occupy a large purpose built premises in Swindon that serves as the hub for sales, marketing, warehousing, administration, accounts, planning and personnel.
Today, Triumph UK continues its dedication to the very best standards of service, innovation and producing and developing designs matching the requirements of our UK and Irish customers. For example, the successful For Your Curves range and D+ big cup collection has been introduced and developed following a demand from our customers.
We are also proud to announce that our current brand ambassador is Louise Redknapp. A stunning singer, model, presenter, publisher, working mum, ‘FHMs sexiest woman of the decade’ and now star of one of the world’s top lingerie labels!
A new modern Triumph Logo is at the very centre of a complete new corporate design, with which Triumph will engage more directly with its consumers and their desires and wishes. The current Triumph advertising campaign, photographed by the Swede Peter Gehrke, shows the self confident Triumph woman in natural and realistic life situations. Triumph is also not only taking inspiration for its designs from within its own ranks: the “Triumph Inspiration Award” has been created so that talented young hopefuls have the chance to make a name for themselves in the world of fashion. The award recognises the talented young designers of tomorrow from all over the world and in doing so creates a dialogue between the company and creative young consumers. The emotional bonding of the brand follows via the Triumph Stores, which are not only a showplace for the products but also, above all, promote personal contact with the target group.
My Thoughts
The brand wants to portray a strong confident woman but looking at some of the triumph adverts the photos are a bit bland and wouldn't really appeal to the younger audience. On first thoughts I thought it was an company like Bravissimo and the adverts don't really portray some of its nicer underwear on it but on looking on the online website it is quite nice.
They are pretty boring for an advertisement and don't really catch peoples eye. I prefer this one out of ones I've seen as it works better with the male model in I personally think.
there isnt much information on the magazine but here is a review on the first issue as the magazine is only on its third issue .The review is by the Independant (http://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/fashion/features/love-magazine-revisits-the-nineties-1624752.html)
Here is a really interesting thing to take note on for our brand
"The first thing that strikes you is the sheer number of adverts. At a time when fashion advertisers are playing hard to get, LOVE has managed to sell vast amounts of advertising space. By the time we get to the contents page, we’re already 47 pages in; by the time the first piece appears, we are on page 81."
This is good to consider as it may mean we can have a great number of pages for the advert in the magazine. My Thoughts
The magazine when looked at has a young feel which makes me believe that it is for a younger age range. The magazine is very edgy and adverts are more outrageous than say in a more respectable magazine such as Vogue or Tatler. This means our advert can have a lot of creative leeway.
